The food was excellent but a limited menu although it's expected being a Wurst house their business is sausages. The two times I've visited it has been a bit loud but because of the openness of the space with high ceilings it's not surprising. The beer selection is excellent and seems to have some seasonal rotation. You won't find a full German pub experience here but it's true to its name the Wurst house.
My boyfriend and I came here a handful of times in the past and it's been fine. We sat at the bar last night. My boyfriend tried a cider and I ordered one. When the bartender came back with my drink, he ordered his, and she ended up taking multiple orders without coming back with his drink. We also asked her if we could change the channel on one of the TVs to a hockey game. She was immediately exasperated and said, "If you give me a minute," with so much attitude. She put on ESPN, put the stats on the side, and said, "That's the best I can do," walking away in a huff. We understand the bar was packed and she was busy, but there's no reason to take your frustration out on customers. She never brought my boyfriend's drink. After waiting 10 minutes, my boyfriend held up his card and asked for the bill, and she yelled at him, "I'M COMING!" Safe to say we won't be coming back here.
Great selection of German beer on draft. They participated in the Jazz Festival weekend and had a quartet playing in the corner. Loved it.
It was a nice surprise to see a German centric bar/restaurant during my trip to North Hampton, MA. The restaurant attempts to capture the feel of a German Fest Haus with a dark wood interior and antler donning light fixtures. I tried and liked a boot-full of the Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, which is very long for a German wheat beer. It was very good.
My daughter and I shared Bavarian Style Pretzel and the Sausage Sampler. The sausages and sour kraut were great, but the roasted onions and peppers were very mushy, not a texture I enjoyed.
The physical menus are a bit of an oddity as they are printed xerox copies and wrinkled from overuse. I would think that a plastic slipcover would suffice if the intent were to save on professional menus.
I will come back again to try more beer and brats and to try the potato pancakes.
Very clean! The service was great. Menu is as the name indicates, mainly wurst. They offer a vegan sausage that was decent and lots of sides/apps that were delicious.
The atmosphere was nice, but they really have mediocre food. The bars in Northampton are mostly overrated, but this place needs more improvement. However they have good selection of beer, so it may be eorth a visit.
Great space, very nice ambiance. Talked with the manager, very nice and sharp. Very limited bar menu but it is perfect for this venue. Will definitely be back. As a 40 year patron of the Fort this does venue does it justice.
First time here, sat at the bar. Warmly greeted by our bartender. Ordered our beers, and ordered the Pub fries. A basket of fries with beer cheese, bacon bits, and sour cream. Came out hot and crispy.
Waited a few minutes and ordered the beats. Wife had cheddar jalapeno brat, I had the generic brat. Both were hot and cooked perfectly. The restaurant was so spotlessly clean. The music playing was non intrusive just right. We will be going back
